12.30.03 (5:29 pm)   [edit]
:D

I came to the office very early today. My lil' bro sent me with his motorbike. Witch-cool! I feel like knocking the window of every car that we passed. So breezy...
Note to self: think of buying a motorbike ..

OK, anyway, as I walked along 'the' park, I could see grills and fences are available here and there. Well, it basically prepares for the new year celebration tonight that will be held there. Large speakers are up. Certain paths closed. Oooh... I need to get out of here before or together with the sun.

Er, yes.. good news, I'll be leaving the city tonight! Going to anor's place. Previously, i was thinking that I'll be among the minority to leave this city of light. But... NO!!!
Tickets for express buses for tonight and tomorrow morning are sold out. So... it seems that a lot of people are also planning of visiting their loved ones during the New Year holiday. How selfish of me to think that I am the only one with that thought.. LOL!
Luckily i got this one additional bus. Erm... hopefully, I'll reach there in time... God, please help me...

Anyway, regardless of your preferences... enjoy tonight as the final night of 2003. Be it good or bad memories this year, everything is worth remembering. Hopefully 2004 will continue to bring out the best in us!
Happy New Year.

And tomorrow, i'll be updating my first 2004 blog from anor's workstation

Now the story's played out like this
Just like a paperback novel
Lets rewrite an ending that fits
Instead of a hollywood horror

.: spectacle vs contact lens :.
12.29.03 (11:13 pm)   [edit]
:o

Yesterday, i picked my prescriptive spectacles. Kinda cool huh.. I'm wearing spec now.. wohooo! That should increase the nerdiness level in me. yeah!

Well, its not that my vision is so blurr (its only +0.25 for both eyes) But I have this allergic to the light, be it sunlight or any human-made light. As it affect my driving ability, I was forced to quickly make one.

I do not really like contact lenses, at least not for me. I think CL are cool, the different coloured eyes; blue, green, grey, red, etc. Its just that... the feeling of inserting something into the eyes, or even any part of my body (except my mouth..) is kinda scary.

.: new year celebration :.
12.28.03 (10:30 pm)   [edit]
8)

Last night, I got a call from one of my friend. She invited me to join her in celebrating New Year in one entertainment spot here. Well... as you can expect I firmly declined the invitation. Partly because, I have no more leave for the year 2003. And the main reason is, I am not really the party kinda person. I prefer staying at home with my beloved, and my family, enjoying our get together. Eat nice meal, play gin rummy, or any board game. So, this new year's holiday, I may be heading to somewhere far from the city.

By default, to celebrate New Year, one should go to some place fun, with loads of people, get drunk and yelling the countdown. Sorry... its just not me. You may say I'm anti-social and highly uninteresting, but hey... i'm an oTaku, expect the uninteresting!!

With my saying like this, I didn't mean to condemn those who celebrate by partying. That's cool, I mean.. cooler than cool. I wish I can be a more sociable person, but I can't and I am happy about myself.

I realise that, by embracing your feeling, your preferences and yourself, it'd make you a better person. Because by then, you will also learn to accept other people for who they are...

:: one boring sunday ::
12.27.03 (11:40 pm)   [edit]
Its just another boring Sunday. Am here again, all alone with my workstation.

I remember this song, used to be so DIL with this song few years back. Well... this is for you. :D

I Swear

i swear by the moon
and the stars in the sky
and i swear like the
shadow that's by your side
i see the questions in your eyes
i know what's waiting on your mind
you can be sure i know my part
'cause i stand beside you through the years
you'll only cry those happy tears
and though i make mistakes
i'll never break your heart
and i swear by the moon
and the stars in the sky i'll be there
i swear like the shadow that's by your side
i'll be there for better or worse
till death do us part
i'll love you with every beat of my heart
and i swear

i'll give you every thing i can
i'll build your dreams with these two hands
we'll hang some memories on the wall
and when (and when) just the two of us are there
you won't have to ask if i still care
'cause as the time changes the page
my love won't ever age at all

and i swear (i swear) by the moon
and the stars in the sky i'll be there (i'll be there)
i swear (and i swear) like the shadow that's by your side
i'll be there (i'll be there) for better or worse
till death do us part i'll love you
with every single beat of my heart and i swear

and i swear (i swear) by the moon
and the stars in the sky i'll be there (i'll be there)
i swear (and i swear) like the shadow that's by your side
i'll be there (i'll be there)
for better or worse (better or worse)
till death do us part i'll love you
with every single beat of my heart
i swear i swear i swear

.: hair ok?.. and action!! :.

I don't really have anything to write today. I am too lazy...
Today is suppose to be a holiday. Well, Christmas yesterday... and off day tomorrow. Working in between two holidays is such a waste of time. Don't you think?

So, let me just mention a new thing i put up in my blog. Notice the 'Hairdo' title on the right menu? Yes that's it. OK... for the time being I will be working on displaying the different hairstyle of Willow Rosenberg... The most 'interesting' character in BtVS. After this I hope to continue with the rest of the characters. But, maybe not Spike and Xander...

OK... it seems that Buffy always able to maintain an excellent hair-day even after hours of slaying, butt-kicking, and coming out from the grave!
Weird huh? Well, that's the power of TV show. The good one, will stay beautiful.. :P

.: the 'X' factor - my version :.
12.23.03 (10:21 pm)   [edit]
 Ain't Alyson Hannigan cute??!!
OK, that may not be a good way to start the blog today. But, cuteness is a good way to start a day.

Walking along every morning, surely you will notice maybe one or two person that can activate your 'cuteness-radar'. (Tho' sometimes there's none...).
They'll make you smile (.. to yourself). And what better way to start a morning than being happy? Thank God for all the cute people in the world!!

I'm always attracted to female with loads of X factor. I don't know how to exactly define my version of X factor. Maybe anor can provide the more accurate definition...;)

What I can say is... female like Angelina Jolie has loads of X factor, and also... Gillian Anderson, Jodie Foster, Amber Benson (of course...)
But not female like Reese Witherspoon. Hmmm... and I also doubt that Aly has plenty of that factor...

I think to sum it up... maybe the level of X factor has something to do with the concentration of oestrogen in a female body. Maybe that's what makes them look tough yet feminine
::shrug::

.: Food!!! :.
12.22.03 (9:56 pm)   [edit]
:?
I didn't take my lunch today. Just don't feel like it...
So, what is your favourite food? As for me, I am not in a good position to answer about favourite food... Eating is like a hobby of mine..

I ate almost everything (except those Fear Factor's stuff...). If anybody recommends a nice place to eat... I'll try my best to find a suitable time and satisfy my appetite there.

See my mom came over this weekend, and my stomach is forced to work extra hour! Ah, that's partly the reason of why i didn't take my lunch today. Plus, the food here is very so-so.

When it comes for me to conclude about food, no matter where I go, the best food is when it is cooked by my mom or anor. Like they say, home is where the heart is... I'd definitely say that home is where my stomach is... ;)

Wow! It sounded it like I weighs thousands of pounds... LOL! But its true... i'm comfortable to be described as a 'short and fat otaku who loves to eat'...
Duh!

.: imagination :.
12.21.03 (8:09 pm)   [edit]
8)

I walk to my office everyday, carrying a long umbrella. Today, I walked, tapping the tip of my umbrella to the concrete walking path, I suddenly realise that to enter Diagon Alley, Hagrid tapped the bricks using his umbrella!!

Hmmm... I wonder what would happen if i tap my umbrella to any walls of this building? Will a place from the other realm appears? hehehe...

OK, being a muggle in the muggle world, at least I can use my umbrella to push the buttons of the lift, to enter the pin number at the entrance of my office, and to knock anyone who stands in my way..

Here are the five things from Harry Potter's realm that I hope possible:
1. Apparate
2. Quidditch league
3. Have my own personalised wand
4. Butterbeers!!
5. Sorted into school houses/homerooms by the sorting hat!

Ah.. but that's just my imagination...

:: what is home ::
12.21.03 (12:25 am)   [edit]
Being far from our significant other is tough :( . *sigh*. Its like half your life is bottled up and you're really mired. It is true that I cant feel so bad. Thinking of my work and the things here, its really revitalising but thinking that I am far from my love, I'm doomed, farrrrr in the dungeon. (exaggerating visualisation)
Weekends are my favourite, very looking forward for weekends. Why? Because i'll be going back to my home and would be able to see my love.

My home is a place where my heart belong, a place where I enjoy my life as a haggard human being (well... at least thats my definition, for those who dont agree, dont sue me ...I am poor).
No matter how tired I am to travel hundreds of miles, it wont be the hindrance. Cause all I want is immaculate; I want my home, a place where I really belong. I can do whatever I want, go to "my places" and fulfil my emotional needs (ooooooo.... I sound so like a weeping baby). Its hard you know. But whatever it is, I am so thankful to have a place called home... no matter how far I am from my home.
Having a home always makes me feel like I have to improve myself and my life, cause I always want my home to be so precious and perfect. Precious home for my eyes, for my soul.
Thanks dear, if not for you, I wont have a home. It really means the whole world to me.

.: bishoujo senshi sailormoon :.
12.18.03 (7:05 pm)   [edit]
:o

sailor moon is my favourite anime/manga. where else can you get 9 pretty girls (+ 1 little pink brat) wearing fuku in one show?! OK, other than that, what i love about this show is the personality of each character.

There is the clumsy, boy-crazy girl who always fail in tests, and there is also the almost-perfect lady, who can balance a lemon while playing her stradivarius!! Name it, the genius, the i-am-a-great-cook, and even the sporty-handsome-and-rich one is available.

In my opinion, its the complete blend of different personality that makes this anime a success. It basically feeds the fetishes of both male and female viewer!

And to those boy-crazy girl? Never fear, there are a lot of handsome male villain in the show that can be the bad-boy of your dream... hehehe.
Believe it or not, the show also made me understand our solar system better...

Arigato Naoko-sama....!!! :)

My head is too spinny to write anything today. So I'm gonna leave another interesting quotes from the people of Sunnydale!!!

This dialogue is taken from episode 5.1, when a dracula entered Buffy's mother's, house.... enjoy!

Giles:
Good. Um, Riley and I can, uh, can... search for Dracula, and Willow, you and Tara could uh, could do a protection spell on Buffy's mother's house, and prevent him from returning.

Willow:
Got it. How'd he get inside anyway?

Joyce:
He seemed so nice and normal. A little pale.

Willow:
A good Sunnydale rule of thumb? Avoid white-skinned men in capes.

Joyce:
I'm not like this. I don't invite strange men over for coffee, it's just ... Oh, when you girls are older you'll understand. It's hard to date. Sometimes you just ... feel like giving up on men altogether.

hah!

.: reality - celebrity :.
12.16.03 (7:59 pm)   [edit]
:x
It's raining this morning. I am soggy and wet. As usual, my worn-out loafer is wet. Ugh! Is there anybody out there who wants to donate some money for me to buy a new shoes? No?? never mind! LOL!

OK... so survivor has ended (at least before the All-Star Survivor starts..). The programme that opens my eyes to reality TV show. But among the many many reality show, what interests me the most is the 'american idol' type of reality.

This kind of show produces celebrity based on the votes from audience. err... can we really trust the audience? Well, the winning of Ruben Studdard (Americal Idol) shows that being anorexic is not the main factor of becoming an idol. Alex Parks (Fame Academy) proves that sexual orientation does not stand in the way of the voting. It seems that most voters in US and UK really go for talent in selecting their future superstar. But is that applicable everywhere? I dunno, most probably... not!

After this, we just need to sit back and watch. Will these celelebrities with millions of fans able to achieve a really succesful musical career? Kelly is in with a good start... As for the rest? We'll see.

.: and then there was one :.
12.15.03 (9:02 pm)   [edit]
So... Survivor VII ended yesterday. Everybody satisfied? Well, I think its OK.. I was in favour of Darrah all the way.. but sadly, she didn't win. Hmm... come to think of it, my favourite contestant never won the title. LOL!

During the questioning session, it is already really clear that Sandra satisfied the juries far better. Tho her choices of word is somewhat rough, her honesty is still clearly displayed. And I definitely believe that contributes to her big win over Lil. Lil is just too... 'emotional'!

Well, I learned a lesson from it. You just need to be honest. Your choice of words does not necessarily satisfies the other person. But most importantly, it should satisfy YOU first. Let them think what they want. At the end of the day, they are still free to condemn you...

But the not-so-good part of being brutally honest is, flirting doesn't come in handy. Only those who can really, really see the true you are willing to be your friends/partners...

argh... I'm going to sleep now...

.: short-term memory loss :.
12.14.03 (6:02 pm)   [edit]
:?

ok.. does any of you guys watch the movie 'Finding Nemo?' If the answer is yes, I believe you remember the blue female fish, Dory. Remember her? Good. Now, she suffers from short-term memory loss.

Lately, I think i've been feeling the same way. I sometimes forget what i wanted to say, forget why i enter a room, and i need some time to think, before getting to my objective.

Well, feeling the symptoms, I decided to check, am i suffering from short-term memory loss? Well, because if I do, then... ugh great!... I'll be like Dory!!!

OK... so ivillagehealth provides a quiz to check whether or not one is suffering from the condition.

And now for the result..... (drum roll please...)
I have a 'Mild Short-term Memory Problem'. Well, still ok, though. Sadly, the cause of this kind of problem includes hormonal fluctuations, stress, lack of vitamins, low blood sugar and not getting enough exercise.

OK... so i think i can manage this. Eat more fruit, more sugar, and exercise more. As for the hormonal and stress factor, I hope the hectic life and people around me would not be kind enough to donate the problems.
I want my memory back!!!

.: family and friends :.
12.11.03 (7:29 pm)   [edit]
:)
Family and friends are the two things that I believe a person can't live without. Only that different people may emphasise more on family, and some prefer to be with friends.

I really love my family. Despite of many 'dark' secrets, I am very close with my nucleus family. I went back to my hometown every month to visit them. But with my other relatives, i am really not a person that you can call friendly.

And being an otaku, i have very few friends. I am not really talented in socialising. The truth is, I'm very shy and I am always succesful keeping a social gathering (especially with those i hardly know...) be as quiet as a graveyard minus the ghost.

Whatever it is, living without family and friends that are dear to you is somewhat torturing. We all need them for support, and to go on with this life. But the 'bad' family and friends are definitely a different story. So, if you still have family and friends, contact them, keep in touch and rekindle the relationship.

Otherwise, you may not die peacefully... LOL!!

.: no idea... :.
12.09.03 (8:04 pm)   [edit]
"I have noo ideaa!".. I suddenly remembered this phrase said by Sandra Bullock from the movie Miss Congeniality. And the truth is, that is what i am feeling now. I don't know what to write here... no idea whatsoever.

Hmm... now i'm beginning to think. What if i work as a writer, and every week i have to come out with... maybe, few articles. Ugh! brainstorming could help?
But if you are in the so-called 'writer's block' i don't think this can help. I mean, even JK Rowling experienced it. She once thinking of breaking her arm to buy more time. wow! imagine that... a world without Harry Potter. Its gonna be dull and scary, at least for me...

I guess the point is, no matter how good we are in what we do, we cannot run away from having something outside of our routine work. Breakfree, and pamper yourself. Look around and be happy. Hopefully after that, your refreshed mind can perform better!
adios...

.: female maintenance :.
12.08.03 (5:21 pm)   [edit]

heh... most of people says that female are of high maintenance. is it true? I think it depends on which type of female.

well, i'm not really the feminine type, so, my monthly salary that flows to my own maintenance is not horrifying at all. My lipstick can last until more than a year. I bought 3 bars of facial soap, waaaay back when i was in my third year of college. And I still have a bar left untouched. I don't bother to have those moisturiser, toner, eye-shadow, blusher, mascara and whatever heck of make-ups... 8) And I only wears T-shirt to the office, which costs less than the price of a 'Whooper' burger.
hmmm... i guess all my money flows massively to my stomach!!

To all the girls out there... its ok to be of high maintenance. Even if you can't afford it, find a boyfriend(s)/girlfriend(s ), who can help you to ease the burden. The least they can do is paying for your meal, so that you can save for your own maintenance and whatnot!! Just... enjoy life! heh!

Sometimes, in a TV series, there are certain conversation that bears a definitely 'deeper' meaning, that what it really sounds...

This is my favourite:

Spike:
I could've gone straight to the Slayer, you know? I cut you in, let you pretend you're actually in charge, now you've got to wait for Red's permission to finish the deal?
Giles:
As soon as we see what's on the disks.
Tara:
It looks like gibberish.
Spike:
Gibberish?
Willow:
They're encrypted.
Giles:
Oh, wonderful.
Spike:
Can you fix `em?
Willow:
Crack a government encryption code on my laptop? Easy as really difficult pie. Why?
Spike:
You're not exactly the whiz these days either. God, I'm never gonna get paid.
Willow:
I am a whiz.
Tara:
She is a whiz.
Willow:
If every a whiz there was. I-I just need some time.
Spike:
No. I just heard you weren't . . . Your mates said you weren't playing with computers so much. Into the new thing.
Willow:
What new thing?
Spike:
You know, you two. The whole wicca thing.
Willow:
They-they were talking about that?
Spike:
Can we get back to business here? I've got a deal at stake.
Willow:
What did they say?
Spike:
Talking about, you know, it's a phase. You'll get over it.
Willow:
What? Who said that? Was it Buffy? 'Cause . . . you know what she means by that.
Spike:
No, she was defending you. 'Cause Xander said you were just being trendy.
Willow:
Trendy?
Spike:
I don't know what they were going on about. A person wants be a witch, that's their business.
Willow:
I knew Buffy was freaked.
Tara:
You should talk to her, 'cause I'm sure she--
Spike:
Pressing business, ladies. Don't want to get sidetracked. Still got your monsters to fight.

Even though I did listen to Tommy Page during my teen, years back ... I never notice this lyrics.... Well *confused* :?: :!: ... hhhmmm

Hard To Be Normal - Tommy Page

Something's happening, happening here
Making all my logic disappear
I used to listen to what people say
Now I'm living life my own way
Tear down all those defenses
Let's go forget, the consequences
In this world it's hard to be
Hard to be normal
Always been hard for me
Na, na, na, na, normal
In this world it's hard to be
Hard to be normal
Close to you, hard for me
Na, na, na, na normal
When you whisper, whisper in my ear
I lose touch with little things like fear
I'll do anything, I'll go anywhere
I'll treat the rules, like they're not there
Tear down all those defenses
Let's go forget, the consequences
Chorus:
The world can end in a blinding light
So who cares what we do tonight

Any comment? 8)

:: lonely ::
12.06.03 (12:29 am)   [edit]
It sucks to know that you're alone! Part of my life are internet and computer. Today, practically I am all alone in my online world! Poor me, poor me.

Youtte was not online. Lucky for me that I have one friend here, offline. So, went out with her just to release my detonated inner turmoil. Here, apparently, she is my accomplices  .
Well, at least I have one *daaaa* , in this "so not my place". Sometimes I felt so alienated here. I dont know how long can I survive without my bestest friend. *anor, hang on there !!*

Still I cant understand how someone can really survive alone without someone besides them. I solute those people. For me... I cant, definitely cannot. I need someone. Lucky me to know that I have a place where I can rest my heart. At least I am not fleeing here and there without knowing where I belong. Well, I better stop with my crapssss !!!!
Just to let you know youtte... thanks for being there for me. Really appreciate that. True as the old saying goes " Distance makes the heart grow fonder" (hopefully I got this one right) .... :? :?

.: sexy - the definition? :.
12.05.03 (12:33 am)   [edit]
:D
As beauty is in the eyes of the beholder, I believe sexy is also the same. So, we'll have a whole bunch definition for sexy!

The dictionary defines sexy as something that may arouse sexual desires or interest. But there is also the non-sexual-related definition, which is something that is highly appealing or attractive. Ah well, for me, when the word sexy will d-d-definitely pushes me into the sexual context...

So, on with the question... what is sexy?
Well, sexy can be...
  • ... a person, i.e. Sean Connery, or Beyonce (totally not!!)

  • ... Or it can also be parts of the body, like... Angelina Jolie's lips perhaps.
  • ... an action can also considered as sexy, for example, the 'suggestive' wink from your lover in a crowded place, which invites... (i dare not further explain  )
  • ... voice! some people fall in love with the sexy, husky voice of a DJ!!
  • ... ermm, certain arrangement of words is sexy sometimes. For example, a marriage proposal can also be sexy..
  • clothes can be sexy too. such as leather, laces or maybe trench coat!

I can go on and on listing things that can be considered as sexy...
Well, the point is, this world is full of wholesome sexiness! Let's appreciate it... and let yourself feel sexy sometimes!!

    Once innocence was lost
    There was not faith enough
    Still my heart held on
When it found that kind of love
Alison Krauss - That Kind of Love

I don't know what's wrong with me today. I don't really talk about love and all the mushie-smooshie stuff. But, now that i accidentally turn the button of my emotion on, i realise, everyone needs to love and be loved. love simply make you.... complete...

Once we achieve 'that' kind of love... there's no turning back. No matter how big is the challenge, love will lead you back..

ugh... so, everyone has a different definition of love, and for me, love is...
Push the door i'm home at last
And i'm soaking through and through
Then you handed me a towel,
And all i see is you...
       Dido - Thank you

:?: how about you guys? can you define the love that is important in your life?

Yesterday, i went to a bookstore, pressing my luck to find a Buffy comic. To my surprise, it is available there!! My original plan was just to 'find' the book and to buy it when i have the budget. Ah! Plan-schman... i'm buying it!! So, I bought it...

:?: Have you ever experience that impulsive feeling
The feeling that you must have/purchase/do something, without really thinking, and considering all factors? I do... but sometimes the feeling nauseates me...

Personally, i don't know whether it is good or bad to be impulsive. At times, if you don't force yourself to do something, it'd never get done. But if you do something without thinking, you might end up regretting it...

:sigh: OK, maybe to achieve the-good-impulsive is by thinking, is it good for me to be this impulsive...
but when you started thinking, it is not called impulsive anymore!!!

arghhh!! somebody get me away from my PC before i further complicate my blog!

OK... have you ever woke up one morning and thinking of calling your mother. But you decided to wait until noon. And after a few minutes, the phone rang. Its your mother! Creepy? Nay!!! I call that the sixth-sense between two people.

That sense can only be achieved if you have a very strong bonding with the person. It can be your parents, lover, spouse, best friend, siblings... and the list goes on. But if the bonding is not strong enough, the instinct won't work, even if you sleep with the person every night...

I am happy to say that my parents achieved the bonding. Thank God! Personally, I'll feel terrible if I can see that even my own parents do not own the 'love' and 'bonding' that should occur.

Anyway, now you can be more observant and try to realise, who develops the sixth-sense with you...

    :: sense of belonging ::

Whenever the three words above appeared, what will they trigger?

 For me, my very dear friend youtte and my nucleus family. These are the two items that makes me aware where I belong.

Why people get married and why most of us need friends? Because we always want somebody besides us, in our ups and downs. I consider myself lucky to have youtte. She's the bestest person I've ever had! The bestest occurence in my yearning life. Eventhough I am very far from her right now (which is torturing enough) , the sense of belonging keeps my sanity in the most perfect condition and discard those qualms in me .
May be for most of us, this is not so important, well... "teething problem"; but for melancholic me, being totally lost without any sense of belonging can be an apocalypse !   Total devastation !

The innuendo of having her despite of anything is reveling and always being the zest for me.
Same goes with anyone else, to have a good companion can be the most precious thing in life.... Eccentric? For me its inevitable

When you brought me here, I thought it was to kill me. Or to lock me in some mystical dungeon for all eternity here, with the torture. Instead you go all Dumbledore on me.
